Fota Island Golf Club was done with a palette knife technique. This golf club is a parkland course in County Cork, Ireland, and has extraordinary views everywhere the eye can see. Warm people, great pub grub, ruins of churches and castles, it was the trip of a lifetime. Ireland touches my soul. You'll see more of Ireland from me. Golf anyone?
Imagine walking through the woods on a beautiful sunny day and coming across this Buddha in the middle of a bamboo stand. What a peaceful place...I enjoyed the play of light on the forest floor.I think its time to meditate!
This is an oil painting. Approaching the Sanibel Lighthouse from this direction on the pathway, I relished in the colorful, late afternoon skies. What a glorious site and an interesting vantage point of the lighthouse with the dappled sunlight peeking through the trees and onto the shell path.
Canoeing on a hazy, lazy day, you come across a deserted beach. The water is crystal clear and is both warm and refreshing, It is shades of blues, greens and lavenders. They match the dreamy sky. Time for a little siesta or a cuddle?
CAPE CORAL ART LEAGUE sponsored it's WILD ABOUT WILDLIFE show on Thursday, February 4th. It was a juried show open to all ART COUNCIL OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA MEMBERS. We had a wonderful awards ceremony honoring past presidents of CCAL. We then proceeded with the awards for the Wild About Wildlife Show, judged by the distinguished Jeanette Chupack. I was so pleased to receive "An Award for Honorable Mention" for my alcohol ink art named "The Koi Boys Club". I had great fun painting this.
I've chosen every color in the rainbow for this painting. It reminds me of being a child and going to the circus. It is so colorful with it's painted clowns, brightly decorated tents and exciting rides. Do you feel the energy?
